Native American Program

Enumclaw School Disrict


The Native American program serves 113 students from 54 tribes of Alaskan Natives and American Indians. We work with the parents and guardians to support students through their Kindergarten to High School educational experience at Enumclaw School District.

The Native Education program is funded through the Federal Funds of the Title VII  program.
In order to receive the this funding each student need sto complete a 506 enrollment form to identify their Tribal affliation. The students once enrolled are eligible to participate in cultural classes held at the school twice monthly and other events that may be scheduled throughout the year.

We offer support services includilng acting a an liason to parents and schools and will attend meetings to include IEP, disciplinary, and parent teacher conferences or other meetings supon request.

We offer free afterschool programming to include Pow-Wow Dance instruction. These classes are provided once a week  from January to May, wlth the culmination of the classes to include a Pow Wow and an opportunity for students to  run for Pow Wow royalty.

Enumclaw High School and Thunder Mountain Middle School are one of ten schools in the state to participate in a OSPI pilot program "Time Immemorial , Tribal Sovereignty."
