We are expanding upon
our fraction skills:
The teams have shifted again in regard to skill
levels.
Team 1 is working on addition and subtraction of fractions with
un-like denominators. Borrowing (regrouping) when subtraction
is the next challenge.
Team 2 is working on fraction multiplication and division
concentrating on "cross cancellation"
skills.
We recently had a Transition "speaker" (Mr. John
Pugh) come and present to the class about his career experiences as
a Navy SEAL and King County SWAT team member. The students asked
him career oriented questions that they had put together in
advance.
