Box Top & Campbell's Label Collection Contest
box_tops_picture.jpg
We are always collecting Box Top's Labels for Education (click here for more information) and Campbell's UPC's.  They turn into cash for our schools!  Please encourage grandparents, other family members, and neighbors to collect them for us, too!  Not only do we earn 10 cents per label, but we earn a special "class celebration if we collect the most!
Simply tear it off the package and send them in your child's folder.  We'll  even take care of trimming them down so you don't have to!  If you drop them off in the office, please make sure the bag is labeled "BOLINE"!

How can I support my child in math?
As adults we often think that teaching our children how to recite their addition or subtraction facts is the best way to help them be successful in math.  Unfortunately, this is not the only  thing we can do for young learners as these concepts are still too abstract until a strong number sense is built.  So how can you support your child in math?  A wonderful way is merely by playing board games.  Rolling dice, recognizing the number of dots, moving a playing piece to coincide with the roll and taking turns are all wonderful activities you can do at home to help build number sense!

Please let us know if your child will have alternate afternoon transportation plans.  You may send a note in your child's folder, call the office (802-7370), or email me before noon.  It is especially helpful if you can let us know of the change as soon as possible.  Getting the message to your child is often a time consuming process! (Our class has specialists at the end of the day/3 days per week!)  Thanks for understanding.
