October in half over and November is
peeking around the corner. The Party Planning Team met this week
and organized our first classroom celebration.
Here are the details:
What: Superhero Celebration
When:
Friday, October 30th
Time:
10:45 to 12:50
Activities:
Superhero Relay Recess, crafts and game, story time with Mrs.
Tiger, and a super lunch.
What to
Wear: Students may wear costumes to school or
change into a simple costume during first recess. Hero costumes
are encouraged but not required. Other types of costumes are
just fine. School rules regarding costumes must be followed (no toy
weapons or gross/bloody props or
make-up).
Lunch
Menu: Hero sandwiches (ham, turkey, and/or
cheese), chips, carrots, fruit salad, milk, and a cookie.
What to
Send: Students will be volunteering to bring in
food items for the party in class on Thursday. A note will come
home on Thursday.
Volunteers:
Parent volunteers are welcome to come
help run craft stations and serve lunch. We will start setting up
at 10:30. (Please make sure you have your volunteer application on
file with the
office.)
