Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year!

I am so excited for this new year! Mrs. Underwood and I have so many fun things in store for our students. I look forward to our first day tomorrow!

Reminders:

  • Our first day is tomorrow and students can arrive anytime between 8:45 and 9:00. School officially starts at 9:00.
  • Dismissal is at 3:30.
  • Students will be bringing home papers to parents who didn't get them on Cougar Day. There are a couple papers within these that I ask students to return to me as soon as possible. These include a photo permission slip form and a student/parent information form. However, you should also be receiving a card with my contact information and a school lunch calendar.
  • Open House is on September 27th from 6:30-7:45.

If you are picking up your child from school, please either wait in the car pickup line or outside the doors of the primary building. Your child will come to you after dismissal. Please resist the urge to pick your child up early unless it is an emergency. I know picking your child up at dismissal requires patience but I do really appreciate you waiting to get your child until after the final bell. I try to use every minute of the day the best I can and every time a student is picked up before 3:30 it creates a distraction/interruption in the classroom. Thank you so much for your understanding.

If you are picking your child up from school, I would really appreciate it if you could wait until after the bell rings at 3:30. In the past, parents have come to pick their child up early the last half hour of school to avoid the dismissal rush. These interruptions can be very distracting and do take away from learning. Therefore, unless it's an emergency, I really would appreciate waiting until 3:30. Thank you so much! I want to make sure your child, and every child in the class, gets the time they deserve!
